Thanks for the Weekend!

I love holidays! I love the time off from EVERYTHING that comes with a holiday! Jace and I had a nice weekend with both sides of the family. We spent Thanksgiving Day with my family... eating lots of yummy food and bowling... and then headed to Jace's parents for more pie that night. Lots of fun! I worked on Friday morning (super early! 12 AM!) at Bath and Body Works for the Midnight shopping... CRAZY!! I can't believe what people are willing to stand in line for! It was fun to work there again... but the one night will be enough for awhile :) On Saturday we went shopping with Bryan and Whitney at the Costco (I need a membership! I love Costco!) and got some of our Christmas shopping done! Then we had lunch at Zupa's. We had never been there before and let me just say I am now a big fan! The deserts were delicious! Later I went over to Shannon's to make Gingerbread houses with some of my nieces and nephews. They are adorable (the houses and the kids!)
And finally we put up our Christmas tree on Sunday! I am very excited to spend the holiday with Jace and our families!

My Most Favorite Things

I love three things in this world more than I love anything else! I thought I would share these with everyone. Just a warning first... they might change how you feel about me.

#1 Jace! How could I not love Jace?!?!

#2 Brand New Socks! Putting on a pair of brand new socks is the best feeling in the whole world!

#3 Chick-Fil-A! I can't get enough of the original sandwich! Give me a number one with extra pickles any day and I'll be happy!

Basketball & Football

This last weekend we had the opportunity to go to the Jazz game and the BYU game. Jace says the best part was they were both free. So true! My dad got tickets to the Jazz game friday night and Jace and I, my parents and Chad and Emily all got to go. Our tickets were on the second row... it is so neat to sit that close and see how the players interact with each other and the crowd. The lady sitting next to me kept telling me how cute Kyle Korver is... "That Kyle Korver is so cute they should let him get away with things like that" and "That Kyle Korver must be the cutest thing ever". She was probably in her 70's, I loved it. The next day we went to the BYU game. The cougars were victorious (Yeah!) but the game wasn't the most exciting. Oh well... we still had a great time! Boozer is talking to Ronnie Price... I don't know what was so funny
I admit Kyle Korver is pretty cute
I will always have to take the classice head shot of the two of us!

A good reason not to have kids...

Because we can do whatever we want! We decided to go to St. George last Friday so we booked ourselves a hotel and left Saturday afternoon! I love being able to take little trips without having to think about little kids! We went to Zions National Park on Sunday and had a great time hiking around. We made this trip earlier in the year and Jace convinced me to hike Angels Landing. I was in horrible shape and had the worst shoes on (fitflops!). We made it to Scouts Lookout and through the first bit with chains before I said I wouldn't go any further. (I didn't realize I was afraid of heights until that point!) This time I was determined to go to the top. We hiked the Emerald Pools trail first, which was beautiful. It had rained earlier in the day so the temperature was perfect and the leaves were changing. After Emerald Pools we tackled Angels Landing. It was much easier this time around... I had on good shoes (yeah for new balance!) and was in much better shape. The last 1/2 mile to the top was still pretty scary but I did it! The view from the top was pretty incredible and I asked Jace to take some pictures since I was still a little nervous. He thought he took a bunch but turns out he only took 2... oops. Luckily one was of me at the top so I can prove I was there!

About half way up... you can see the river where the previous picture was taken if you look real close!
The tallest point is where we were headed!

I made it! And there was no crying this time!
